VERDICT: It’s a nice phone, but there are better out there.

FOR: Lightweight and slim, Blackberry OS 7, decent camera, great battery life.

AGAINST: No 3G support, limited apps for BB.

The curve 9220, seems to be relying on the same business philosophy that made its predecessor – the 8520, a success.its sleek, has a 2.44-inch display(320 x 240) and an optical trackpad.the QWERTY keypad is comfortable. The media keys are gone, but a pause button has been added to the volume rocker. The dedicated BBM is no more than BB’s convenience key.The 9220 runs OS 7.1 on 512 MB of RAM.Performance is smooth and responsive. The 9220 comes with the Premium version of Documents To Go.Also, preloaded is protect.720p videos works without an issue and it handles quite a few formats of video as well.Audio quality is also crisp and clear, with a deep bass. The 9220 is the first Blackberry to feature FM radio. The 2MP camera is just about average. The handset lacks 3G and GPS,but offers Wi-Fi without hotspot. The handset excels in battery life with its 1450mAh battery. At Rs 10,990,but you would be better off with a budget Android device.Other than great audio and battery life, the 9220 doesn’t offer too much unless you are looking to upgrade from the 8520.
